Claire Tomlin is a passionate leader with decades of experience in horticulture, event management, and community enrichment. Her journey began in Atlanta, Georgia, where a deep connection to nature and gardening was cultivated alongside her grandmother. Early in her career, Claire served as Operations Director at the Carter Presidential Center, gaining invaluable expertise in organizing large-scale international events and initiatives.
Since founding The Market Company in 1997, Claire has been at the forefront of transforming Miami-Dade's farmers markets and cultural events into thriving community pillars. Her leadership has driven the success of iconic markets, including the Lincoln Road Farmers Market and the Upper Eastside Green Market, while fostering innovative cultural programming such as Japan Week and Latin Week.
In addition to her professional achievements, Claire has played pivotal roles in revitalization projects like the Miami Beach Botanical Garden and has been a champion of artistic and horticultural initiatives in both Miami and Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Her dedication to community service is exemplified by her work with organizations like the South Beach Chamber Ensemble and the founding of Blooming Babes, a gardening group enhancing public landscapes.

Don Tomlin
CFO and Trailblazer in Business Leadership
Don Tomlin is a seasoned finance executive with over 40 years of experience combining corporate leadership and community engagement. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Accenture, and IBM, where he gained expertise in financial strategy and operational excellence while cultivating a reputation for innovative problem-solving. These early experiences laid the foundation for leadership roles at The Emory Clinic, Ryder, and Florida Power & Light, where he drove organizational growth and implemented forward-thinking financial solutions.
Since the inception of The Market Company, Don has served as CFO, applying his strategic vision and financial acumen to support the company’s growth and impact. His leadership has been instrumental in establishing The Market Company as a cornerstone of Miami’s cultural and economic landscape, creating thriving marketplaces that enrich the local community and foster connections among vendors and customers alike.
Beyond his professional achievements, Don has demonstrated a profound commitment to community service. As Treasurer of the Miami Beach Community Development Corporation and a member of Miami Beach’s “Blue Ribbon Panel,” he has contributed to advancing key initiatives that strengthen the city’s infrastructure and support its residents. Don’s career exemplifies the seamless integration of professional excellence and meaningful community impact, driven by his passion for fostering both business success and societal well-being.

Evani Mass
Vice President and Treasurer
Evani Maass is a seasoned operations professional with over two decades of experience driving efficiency and excellence at The Market Company. Since joining in 1999, she has been instrumental in overseeing administrative processes, vendor coordination, and financial management, ensuring seamless operations across multiple open-air markets. Her role also includes organizing promotional events that foster community engagement and showcase the vibrant essence of The Market Company.
With a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies from Pontificio Universitario Catolico (PUC), Brazil, Evani combines academic rigor with international expertise. Fluent in English and Portuguese, and proficient in Spanish and German, she leverages her multilingual capabilities to cultivate meaningful relationships and bridge cultural divides.
Evani’s blend of technical proficiency, strategic insight, and exceptional organizational skills has been integral to the continued success of The Market Company. Malgorzata Godlewska
Assistant Market Manager

With a master’s degree in Education and expertise in Business Administration, Sociology, and the History of Art, she combines intellectual rigor with creative vision to craft culturally impactful initiatives.
As a co-owner of Miami Jewelry & Accessory Company, Malgorzata has built a reputation for excellence, showcasing her jewelry designs at renowned European art fairs. Her ability to merge timeless artistry with contemporary trends has positioned her as a leader in her field. Fluent in Italian, Spanish, English, and Polish, she seamlessly bridges cultural divides, fostering meaningful connections that inspire collaboration.
Beyond her work in design, Malgorzata’s expertise extends to hospitality management, where her meticulous attention to detail and innovative thinking have elevated guest experiences. Her dynamic approach underscores a commitment to transforming ordinary ventures into extraordinary achievements.
