The reality of hurricane season is hard to forget when you live in South Florida -- and it's been a busy season so far. Where crops were not significantly impacted by Irma and Maria, you can expect corn, tomatoes, squash, carambola, citrus and bell peppers to be available this month.
Our Miami Lakes market begins Saturday, October 14 from 9am-2pm. Miami Lakes is a vibrant community that has embraced our seasonal farmers market since it began last January. We will have wonderful produce, ceviche, empanadas, kettle corn, smoothies, acai, plants & flowers, artisan wares -- and more.
Also in October, we're excited to debut the new Miami Shores farmers market starting Sunday, October 29 from noon–4pm at Optimist Park. We expect to have many vendors including great produce, plants & flowers, prepared foods, wood fired pizza, and body products.
Early warning -- Mark your calendars for the start of our South Pointe farmers market on Miami Beach. The new opening date is Saturday, November 4 from 9am-2pm. This sweet little neighborhood market will have many of the same vendors returning, and a few new ones too. It's a great place to stock up on local fresh produce and support local artisans.
Looking forward to cooler days ahead!
