July 2017 Update:
Summer in South Florida is full on with the heat and the afternoon rains. Now our farmers markets are loaded with local avocados, carambolas, guavas, lychees, mangoes, passion fruits and watermelon. This is the time of year to fully enjoy what the rest of the country calls “Exotic fruits!” Don’t be surprised to see other exotics like Jackfruit, rambutans and dragon fruit.
Join us at the Arsht Center Farmers market every Monday evening from 4pm – 8:30pm. This is a year round market. We have a growing list of vendors including Ale’s Ceviche, Laura Produce Farm, Nisha’s Indian food, Hy Vong Vietnamese cuisine, Argentinian empanadas, and local honey from Homestead. This unique market also offers handcrafted jewelry and artisan bags and accessories. Also on Monday nights, you're always welcome at the Books & Books Farm-to-Table dinner with live music in a beautiful setting.
We've had some new markets open this summer:
• Dadeland Mall Farmers Market includes jams, herbs, Shea butter, bonsai, baked goods, produce, plants, orchids and local honey. This market takes place on the 4th Sunday of the month.
• Our new Wellington Green Mall farmers market offers French Cheeses, fudge, Indian food, olive oils, Moringa, meringues, ceviche as well as jams, orchids and honey. This market takes place the 2nd weekend of every month.
